The Tablet Wars Have Begun

Interesting information on iPad competitors on Gizmodo today.  You can read about it here.

I think the title is a little misleading since these aren't really tablet computers, but I'm very interested in getting hold of one these and testing some of our smart-client systems on them.  I saw an Archos 9 for around $550 today, so the prices look like they are going to be reasonable.  The questions will be do they have enough "oomph" to run WIndows 7 and applications in a useable manner, and is the hardware durable enough for enterprise use.

I'm sure I'll have lots more thoughts on this later.  In the meantime, let me know if have any thoughts on great new mobility hardware...

No multi-tasking

The iPad has no multi-tasking. That's a big drawback
